«…Любіть ворогів ваших і моліться за тих, що гонять вас…» (Мт. 5, 44).
Що є серцевиною євангельського послання? «Любіть ворогів ваших». Якщо ти й далі живеш тільки власними потребами, турботами, страхами, то мусиш ділити світ на ворогів і друзів. А Бог так не робить. Він виливає дощ як на добрих, так і на злих. Він не має потреби ділити світ на тих, що за Нього, і тих, які проти. Він любить кожну людину неповторною і безумовною любов’ю. Наш Бог хоче, щоб і ти робив так само, але це стане можливо тільки тоді, коли повіриш у безумовну Божу любов до тебе і коли не будеш надто залежним від того, сприймають тебе люди чи відкидають. Ти зможеш любити своїх ворогів лише за умови, що більше не відчуватимеш потреби ділити світ на друзів і ворогів.
Любов до ворогів — серцевина євангельського послання, бо відображає Божу любов до тебе.
Люблячий Боже, нехай моя любов до ближнього щораз більше уподібнюється до любови, яку Ти даруєш усім нам.
Our Father Loves All
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Mt. 5:44
What is the core message of the Gospel? It is, “Love your enemies.
When you’re still dealing with all your own needs and anxieties and fears, you have to divide the world into enemies and friends. But God doesn’t do that. God showers the rain over the good as well as over the bad. God doesn’t need to divide the world into those for God and those against God because God loves each one uniquely and unconditionally. Our God wants you to do the same, but you can only do that if you believe in God’s unconditional love for you and if you are not overly dependent on human affirmation or rejection. You will be able to love your enemy precisely when you no longer need to divide the world into friends and enemies anymore.
To love your enemies is the core message of the Gospel because it is a reflection of the way God loves you.
Loving God, may my own love of neighbor more closely resemble the love you offer us all.
