The rector of the Lviv Theological Seminary of the Holy Spirit visited the parish of St. Joseph the Betrothed in Chicago, where he delivered a sermon emphasizing the importance of deep spiritual preparation for Christmas. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of this holiday for every Christian, calling on believers to open their hearts to God's grace and to go deeper into prayer and meditation before the great holiday.
In addition, the rector appealed to the parishioners for help for seminarians in need. He called on all those willing to join the charitable initiative by visiting the parish office to provide support. This assistance is necessary to ensure proper conditions for the study and spiritual development of future priests.
The rector also emphasized that the presence of good priests is extremely important for the fulfillment of the church's social mission. He noted that priests actively work with the families of the wounded, dead, orphans, and also perform important social work in communities.
