In the conditions of the war in Ukraine, many people feel the need to rethink their lives. Spiritual revival becomes an important stage in this process. Recently, the parishioners of the Church of St. Joseph the Betrothed went on a pilgrimage to Holy Hill in the state of Wisconsin, led by Father Andriy Delisandru, an employee of the parish of St. Joseph, and a guest from Ukraine, Father Ivan Koltun, abbot of the pilgrimage site Stradch in the Lviv region.

The pilgrimage began with a prayer on the bus, where Father Andriy explained the importance of repentance. The parishioners got acquainted with the five conditions of good confession, which helped to understand this mystery more deeply.

At the place of pilgrimage, pilgrims walked the Stations of the Cross in a picturesque forest, and Father Pavlo Drozdyak conducted entertainment. An important moment was the common prayer for peace in Ukraine, which united all the pilgrims, as well as the opportunity to go to confession in picturesque circumstances.

The Divine Liturgy in the basilica was the culmination of the event, where Father Ivan Koltun urged the pilgrims to think more deeply about the meaning of forgiveness. At the end, all pilgrims performed the national anthems of America and Ukraine, and also sang praise songs to the Mother of God during the funeral.

Thus, the pilgrimage became not only a spiritual act, but also an important event that united Ukrainians in their desire for peace and revival.
