On September 26, on the occasion of the Catechist's Day, our parish congratulated the catechists with a professional holiday. The celebration began with participation in the Holy Liturgy, after which the catechists received a blessing in the chapel at the church from Father Mykola and Father Andriy, who will be the spiritual mentor of the first-communionists and catechists.
After the blessing, a snack was held, during which the catechists discussed the curriculum for the new school year, creating a corner for prayer in each class, as well as planning leisure activities for children: learning songs, dances, games, trips to nature and excursions to other parishes.
Catechists shared their thoughts and suggestions, and also discussed the establishment of a catechist's library, where you can find various didactic materials, interesting children's books and literature on religious topics.
The father emphasized the importance of cooperation between catechists, the sisterhood and the parish office, because each of them plays an important role in creating a favorable environment for the growth of faith.
