"Galilea" was founded in Ukraine in the city of Drohobych 12 years ago by Fr. Igor Kozankevych.
It has been operating in Chicago since March 2024 and employs about 70 people. The community has an evangelistic character - it spreads the Christian faith through life through the mystery of the resurrection and testimony about the Living Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The main charisma is brotherly love - the formation of brotherly relations. Members of the community meet every week in the House of Resurrection (small group), where they have a Trinitarian prayer of Glory, read the Word of God, pray a prayer of requests and thanksgiving.
Once every two months, the community has a general meeting at the parish, where there is a celebration, the science of the priest, a joint Liturgy and Agape - a time for new acquaintances, communication and the formation of fraternal relations.
Spiritual growth in "Galilee" takes place through St. Andrew's School of Evangelization and formation.
The priest of the community is Fr. Andriy Delisandru.
The contact person of the community is Natalya Petrash.
