Last Friday, July 5, members of the Sisterhood of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, operating at the parish of St. Joseph, sent a large batch of aid to orphans in Ukraine - necessary things, medicines and hygiene products designed to improve their living conditions.
The sisterhood actively supports children in orphanages, boarding schools, lyceums, and also provides assistance to homes for the elderly and military personnel. Regular dispatches of aid take place every Friday, and in case of need - several times a week. The initiative covers a large number of institutions where orphans and children of immigrants live.
The parish priest, Father Mykola, emphasized that the successful implementation of the projects would not have been possible without generous donations and support from parishioners and private benefactors. He called on all caring people to join this noble cause, emphasizing the importance of charity and helping one's neighbor.
"We are open to everyone who wants to do a good deed. It is important what values ​​people live and are guided by. The Lord leads us on different paths to salvation, and good deeds are the right path," noted Father Mykola.
