Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is an honor to welcome you to the official website of St. Joseph the Betrothed Parish, the “Welcoming Parish.”

Our parish has been serving the Ukrainian Catholic community in Chicago for more than fifty-five years during which we have baptized new members and mourned the losses of our beloved family members. We have also witnessed the growth of our community and organizations and built a thriving community of Christians dedicated to living their faith according to the ancient Kyivan Tradition.


We at St Joseph the Betrothed Parish celebrate our past and look forward towards the future. We do this by continuing the pioneering work of our predecessors, by completing that which was started long ago and beginning new endeavors that meet the needs of subsequent generations.

Though you read “Ukrainian” in our name all are welcome to join us in our ancient and unique form of prayer and in our many parish activities. Together we are building an ideal community “for the Glory of God and Future Generations.”
